Photography Day at Northlands Park

Winning Moments Photography Day at the Track

Friday, July 6, 2018, at 6 pm

Join us for an evening at the races! For the horse lover or amateur photographer, the racetrack offers endless possibilities to capture the raw beauty and power of the horse.

Photographers of every skill level are invited to join us for an evening at the races. We will have an introductory lesson to go over camera settings and will spend a couple of hours moving between the paddock, rail and finish line to capture thoroughbreds during the races.

Professional photographer Linda Finstad will share all her tips and tricks on how to capture the high-speed action and get “the shot”. She also reveals the inside scoop on a photojournalistic approach to storytelling through pictures.

The race track is an exciting place full of fast horses and colourful characters. We realize amid all the action you may forget some of the technical details and great advice. Which is why we provide you with the ultimate guide to photographing horses (no matter what the discipline) “How to Photograph Horses and Their Humans” by Linda Finstad.

To register for this fabulous evening go to www.thehorsewatcher.com and click on workshops or email jbrewster@atoba.ca.

$90 per person including the book
